A treehouse is a house built in a tree. Generally built in cypress, fir, camphor tree, and other straight hard trees.

When it comes to treehouses, it's something many people yearn for in their childhood. Many fairy tales have depictions of treehouses. Not only do people live in treehouses in real life today, but there are also even treehouse hotels and treehouse B&Bs for visitors to experience.

What does the world's largest treehouse look like? One such treehouse is the Horace Burgess Treehouse, which was built in 1993 and is also known as the Minister Treehouse because Horace Burgess is a local minister.

So just how big is this treehouse? According to the records, the tree house is 97 feet tall, which is about 30 meters. It is supported by an oak tree that is 80 feet tall and 12 feet in diameter, with six other oak trees serving as auxiliary supports.

It took Horace Burgess more than 258,000 nails and more than 12 years to build the tree house. It looks spectacular from the outside. Because the treehouse is so large, it has been the site of many weddings.

With more than 23 weddings said to have taken place and a local tourist attraction at one point, the attraction is huge. It's already recognized as the world's largest tree house. Unfortunately, the building was declared a "fire code violation" in 2012, so it was left vacant and dilapidated, and the lack of maintenance seemed to make it a coveted target.

On October 22, 2019, the tree house caught fire. Although the local fire department quickly came to the tree house to fight the blaze, it was out of control and completely ignited in just 15 minutes. It's pretty scary.

Twelve years of work by the builders were destroyed. What's important is that, after the post-mortem analysis, although the treehouse was potentially dangerous, the fact that the entire building had no power and no thunderstorm, which means that there were no fire conditions at all that caused the fire, is a little strange.

It's this super treehouse, which was a rarity before it burned down, but now it's just a pile of ashes. The builders have done a miracle. Not everyone has the stamina to spend 12 years meticulously building something that might not be needed.

The largest treehouse hotel still in existence is in Sweden. It was built in November 2012. It has an area of about 50 square meters and weighs 20 tons. This treehouse is located in the northern Swedish town of Halas, 60 kilometers south of the Arctic Circle.

There are three bedrooms, which can accommodate six people. The largest one is nearly 10 square meters, and the smallest one is about 4 square meters. The treehouse also has a living room, a powder room, and a conference room for 12 people.

One person said that the purpose of the tree hotel was to "bring people as close to the earth and heaven as possible." "We think what's exciting is that it's only 60 kilometers from the Arctic Circle," said Arnett Selby, who is in charge of promoting the tour. "You can see the aurora in winter, you can experience the perpetual daylight in summer. We'll see reindeer and if we're lucky we'll see bears."

However, hotel accommodations are expensive, costing 3,300 Swedish kronor ($487) a night for one person and 4,400 Swedish kronor ($649) for two.
