Crystal Palace striker Wilfred Zaha celebrates after scoring the winning goal against Wolves in the Premier League.

Eberechi Eze and Wilfried Zaha scored in the second half for Crystal Palace in their Premier League clash at Selhurst Park on Tuesday. They beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 from behind.

Both sides had early chances, with Cheick Doucoure hitting the Crystal Palace post with a bounce in the fifth minute, before Diego Costa scored from close range for the visitors but widened a corner at the other end.

Wolves winger Adama Traore is more known for his crafty dribbling and powerful shots than his aerial prowess. He opened the scoring in the 31st minute with a superb downward header from Hugo Bueno's cross. He helped the team take the lead.

The visitors could have had a two-goal lead at half-time after Traor was dragged out of the box in first-half stoppage time, but Ruben Neves kicked the resulting free-kick out of the right post.

Palace equalized early in the second half with a goal more similar to Traore's pass, with Eze ghosting at the far post before firing a downwards header into the net.

Odsonne Edouard flashed a spectacular bike kick in the top right halfway through the second half, with some clever attacks from both sides, but struggled to convert them into goals.

Edouard turned around in the 70th minute and singled out Zaha in the box, allowing him to pull the score back calmly. Neves' shot was easily saved by Vicente Guaita as the recent Wolves came.

The win lifted Palace to 10th in the standings with 13 points after 10 games. Wolves have scored just five goals in 11 Premier League games so far this season and are 17th with nine points.

"We had to dig deep. We played well in the first half but the goal was a huge blow," Zaha said after the game. "We have to keep going. That's what Prem needs. We know we have it and we get what we deserve."

Palace manager Patrick Vieira was delighted with his team's reaction to the goal.

"We have players who can score goals and it's important to build on those performances," Vieira said. "The biggest challenge for us is being consistent. We have to keep challenging and working with the players."
